What program for your green corporate retreat?

You've defined your objectives, drawn up your list of participants, worked out your budget... Now it's time to design your seminar program in the countryside and choose the activities that will punctuate your trip. When you set out to organize an event such as team building, ideas abound and it can be difficult to select activities that will bring people together

As experts in business trips, we're going to give you some advice on how to satisfy (and surprise) your employees while meeting your HR challenges.

What are the essential components of your team stay ? Using real-life examples , we'll take a look at the elements that will make your residential seminar a success.

The essential ingredients for your green seminar :

Creating a friendly, supportive environment

It's certainly the atmosphere among participants that will make your corporate seminar a success. Even if you can't control everything, you can make it easier for employees to connect with each other through games or ice-breaking activities.

Once these have enabled each participant to find common ground, spontaneous discussions will flow more easily. Even the shyest of us won't want to go back to our rooms (and yet, ours have an irresistible power of attraction) after dark.

Involve participants in the event

You don't want your program to be too dense with PowerPoint and Keynote presentations. You want to energize your employees and fill their motivation gauge, not see them doze off as they are presented with a mountain of figures to analyze.

The more active participants are, the more their senses are stimulated, and the more they will remember what they have learned during this original seminar.

Plan joint learning sessions

You probably didn't take your team on a seminar without defining an objective linked to the company's performance. Improving team communication, reviewing processes, familiarizing yourself with a new tool to boost productivity... It's important that employees leave with a lesson to apply as soon as they return to the office. What will yours be?

Introduce the stay by sharing your vision

There's no escaping it, and you need to give meaning to this meeting in the countryside. The company director needs to present the reasons and objectives of the stay, as well as his expectations.

For example, if you've called on The Oasis House, you can explain to your staff that we share the same values: caring for others, respecting know-how and promoting the local area.

So this event is a special time of the year. The manager has a special listening space, reinforced by the original setting in which he and his team find themselves. In short, it's the ideal time to set the course for the coming months, or answer questions about the challenges facing the company.

Enjoy all the benefits of nature

The star of your stay is the enchanting setting that welcomes you for a few days. Savor the panorama and explore every nook and cranny on foot, by bike or perhaps on horseback.

You've chosen to stay in an exceptional setting. This calm and rejuvenating place encourages you to adopt a new point of view and slow down. If you're convinced of the benefits of nature on productivity, why not share them with your colleagues?

Don't forget meal and snack times

Finally, although it may seem obvious, don't forget to include lunches, snacks and dinners in your schedule. These are also important breaks for the team to integrate what they've learned and get to know each other in a different way.
